Karen O to perform 'Moon Song' at Oscars

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Singer-songwriter Karen O is to perform "The Moon Song" from "Her" at next month's Oscars ceremony in Los Angeles.

Telecast producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron announced the booking Thursday.

"The Moon Song" will compete in the Best Original Song Oscar category with "Happy" from "Despicable Me 2," "Let It Go" from "Frozen" and "Ordinary Love" from "Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom."

The Oscars show honoring 2013's best in film is to take place March 2, with Ellen DeGeneres serving as host.
