LOS ANGELES, Jan. 30 (UPI) -- Country music star Trace Adkins left the Florida rehab center where he was being treated for alcoholism after 14 days, TMZ reported.

Adkins' father is seriously ill and the singer wants to be at his bedside, the celebrity news website said.

He will decide whether to return to an inpatient program or continue therapy on an outpatient basis after his father's illness is resolved, TMZ said.

Adkins, 52, entered rehab this month after he got into a fight with a Trace Adkins impersonator on a country music-themed cruise to Jamaica.
