Singer-songwriter Vanessa Carlton marries Deer Tick's John McCauley

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 29 (UPI) -- U.S. singer-songwriter Vanessa Carlton says she tied the knot with Deer Tick frontman John McCauley in a ceremony officiated by Stevie Nicks.

Carlton, 33, and McCauley, 27, got married Friday, her manager confirmed to Us Weekly.

Shortly after the ceremony, Carlton posted a photo on Twitter of herself and McCauley with the caption, "Married this gentleman two hours ago xo." She later tweeted, "Thanks Stevie for marrying us," along with a photo of Nicks, herself and McCauley at the altar.
