Dolly Parton suffers minor injuries in Nashville 'fenderbender'

NASHVILLE, Oct. 21 (UPI) -- Dolly Parton was treated for minor injuries after what the country music superstar called a "fenderbender" Monday morning in Nashville.

Police said Parton was riding in a Nissan Xterra driven when it was hit by a vehicle driven by Diane Lish of Nashville, The (Nashville) Tennessean reported. Parton, Judy Ogle of Nashville, who was driving the Xterra and Lish were all taken to local hospitals, but police said none of the three was seriously hurt.

"I was in a fender bender this morning here in Nashville, but I am all good," Parton told her fans via Twitter on Monday afternoon. "Just a little tired and sore. Resting at home now!"

Parton, 67, was the daughter of an East Tennessee tobacco farmer. She lives in Nashville with her husband of almost 50 years, Carl Thomas Dean.
