Pras suing recording studio for double-booking

HOLLYWOOD, Sept. 21 (UPI) -- Rapper Pras is suing the owners of a California recording studio for taking his money but double booking his scheduled recording session.

Pras, whose full name is Prakazrel Samuel Michel, filed a lawsuit Friday in small claims court in Los Angeles County against Jason Gluz and Chasen Spellman, TMZ reported.

The Fugees co-founder alleges he paid the men $5,600 to rent their studio in North Hollywood, but when he got there, they had rented it out to someone else.

Gluz and Spellman refused to give Pras back his money, court documents said.

Pras is seeking $9,000 from the men, which is the cost of the rent, plus the money he shelled out for airfare to Los Angeles and hotel costs while he was there to record, TMZ reported.

Gluz is president and chief executive officer of 17 Hertz Studio in North Hollywood.
