LAS VEGAS, Aug. 11 (UPI) -- U.S. pop singer Eydie Gorme died Saturday in a Las Vegas hospital following an undisclosed illness, the Los Angeles Times reported. She was 84.

Gorme had teamed with her husband Steve Lawrence for decades, the newspaper noted. The duo won a Grammy in 1960 for best performance by a vocal group and she was nominated for another Grammy as a solo performer for her 1963 hit "Blame It on the Bossa Nova."
