CLARKSTON, Mich., Aug. 3 (UPI) -- Singer Kid Rock offered a $5,000 reward on his website for information leading to the arrest of a man who tried to break into his Michigan home.

In a post on his website, Kid Rock warned the man who tried to break in to his home in Clarkston, "Don't mess with a [expletive] like me."

Also posted on the website were security camera images showing a white man described as being in his late 40s or early 50s, balding, with a receding hairline, a mustache and sideburns. The man is shown on crutches and smoking in the images, the Detroit Free Press reported Saturday.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office said the man used his van to ram a gate on Kid Rock's property at around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and attempted to break into a building on the property.

"Thank God I was not on the property at the time of this attempted break in. I am an avid hunter and marksman and I will not hesitate to shoot anyone who has myself or family in fear for our lives," the singer wrote on his website Friday. "I take the invasion of my personal space very seriously regardless of who you are and YES, I do profile people. I am currently profiling any balding white male on crutches driving a white creeper van."
