LOS ANGELES, July 25 (UPI) -- Beyonce's publicist is denying a media report claiming the U.S. pop star's new album is behind schedule because she isn't happy with the material.

The Hollywood Reporter Wednesday quoted a source as saying the Grammy Award-winning artist

has shelved more than 50 songs and decided to start over because she's unhappy with the direction the record has been taking.

However, her representative told E! News Thursday Beyonce hasn't scheduled a release date for the new material and is recording the tracks while on the road performing on her "Mrs. Carter World Tour."

Her last album "4" came out in 2011.
