Police name Kanye West robbery suspect after alleged paparazzo attack

LOS ANGELES, July 20 (UPI) -- Los Angeles police said they have named rapper Kanye West a suspect in an attempted robbery after he allegedly tried to take a camera from a paparazzo.

A video shows West exiting Los Angeles International Airport Friday as five paparazzi snapped photographs of him. Samir Chantre, a witness to the incident, said a photographer "was saying stuff to" West, who "seemed like he was getting offended," the Los Angeles Times reported.

West allegedly ran after one of the photographers and tried to grab at his camera, the report said.

The alleged victim was taken to the hospital after the incident after complaining of injuries, TMZ reported.

Police told TMZ they have named West as a felony suspect.
