NEW YORK, July 1 (UPI) -- Rocker Lou Reed, who had a liver transplant in May, was hospitalized for dehydration during the weekend, the New York Post reported Monday.

"Everything's fine," an unidentified woman who answered a phone in the unit where Reed was being treated told the Post.

No other details about his condition or expected release from the hospital were immediately available.

The music icon talked about his declining health in a June 20 interview, the newspaper said.

"How could time go that quickly?" he mused. "The other day, I was 19. I could fall down and get back up. Now if I fall down. you are talking about nine months of physical therapy."
