NEW YORK, June 20 (UPI) -- Kid Rock predicted a "very long ride down" for Canadian pop sensation Justin Bieber in an interview with Howard Stern.

Appearing on Stern's Sirius XM radio show Wednesday to promote his own concert tour, Kid Rock said he feels sorry for Bieber, USA Today reported.

"The kid's young, he's got some money, he's got the world in his hands, it's just kind of sad to see him go down this trajectory," he said. "It's going to be a very long ride down. We all know the story. I kind of feel for the kid, to be honest with you."

Bieber, 19, became a star after being discovered on the Internet in 2008. But he has recently been in the headlines for less pleasant reasons, including allegations he drove his Ferrari through his Los Angeles gated community at highway speeds.

Kid Rock also compared Bieber to Vanilla Ice, the white rapper.

When Stern called Vanilla Ice a "one-hit wonder," Kid Rock had a quick response: "As soon as Bieber has a hit, he'll be like Vanilla Ice, then."
