LOS ANGELES, June 17 (UPI) -- Paris Jackson, who has been hospitalized in California since a suicide attempt, did not attend her cousin's weekend wedding as planned, E! News reported.

Taj Jackson and Tayana Jackson exchanged vows Sunday afternoon at the family's Hayvenhurst home.

Although the event "was like a family reunion," a source told E! 15-year-old Paris did not join the festivities with her brothers Prince Michael and Blanket, their grandmother Katherine, aunt La Toya, and uncles Jermaine, Tito and Joe.

"No one said a word about Paris. She wanted to come, but they wouldn't let her out of the hospital," an insider told E!

"I think everyone was trying to block it out and just enjoy the wedding," the source said. "You wouldn't know anything was going on, except that [Katherine] looked sad. She didn't look her normal, happy self."

The daughter of the late pop music icon Michael Jackson remains hospitalized, but is expected to make a full recovery after cutting her wrists with a kitchen knife and ingesting numerous Motrin pills nearly two weeks ago.
