Rocker Tim Lambesis is released from jail after posting $2M bail

SAN DIEGO, May 31 (UPI) -- As I Lay Dying singer Tim Lambesis has been released from a San Diego County jail after posting $2 million bail three weeks after his arrest, officials said.

Lambesis, 32, is accused of solicitation of murder for allegedly trying to hire an undercover police officer to kill his estranged wife, Meggan. The musician pleaded not guilty this month.

He faces as much as nine years in prison if convicted.

Lambesis was released from jail Thursday, but ordered to stay away from his wife and children. He was told to surrender his passport, MTV.com reported.

Lambesis is due back in court June 10 for a preliminary hearing.
