DeAndre Brackensick voted off 'Idol'

LOS ANGELES, April 6 (UPI) -- DeAndre Brackensick, a 17-year-old aspiring singer from California, was eliminated from "American Idol."

He was voted off the show Thursday night in Los Angeles.

"You're an amazing performer. I stand by that," judge Jennifer Lopez told him after he failed to get enough viewer votes to stay on the show.

Still in the competition are Colton Dixon, Phillip Phillips, Skylar Laine, Hollie Cavanagh, Joshua Ledet, Jessica Sanchez and Elise Testone.

The Top 10 performers will go on a concert tour this summer.
