Rap world's Money Clip D dead at 34

HOUSTON, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- Dominic Levar Brown, a member of the Houston rap community known as Money Clip D, has been shot and killed, officials said. He was 34.

The Houston Chronicle said Brown was described by members of the music community as the "right-hand man" of rapper Trae.

Brown was shot early Friday as he sat in a car outside Breakers, a club in southwest Houston.

"This is one of those cases where we need witnesses to come forward," Houston police spokeswoman Jodi Silva told the newspaper.

No arrests had been made in Brown's death.
