LOS ANGELES, Nov. 8 (UPI) -- Dwight Arrington Myers, the Jamaican-born rapper known professionally as Heavy D, died Tuesday, the Los Angeles Coroner's Office said. He was 44.
The hip-hop star performed at the Michael Jackson Tribute Concert in Wales, as well as the 2011 BET Hip Hop Awards last month. He also had a small acting role in the new big-screen release "Tower Heist" and the 1999 drama "The Cider House Rules."
