NEW YORK, Nov. 2 (UPI) -- Justin Bieber's publicist says a woman's claim the 17-year-old Canadian pop star fathered her infant son is false.

Star magazine reported Mariah Yeater, 20, filed a paternity suit against Bieber in California, requesting the singer provide financial support for her 3-month-old baby. Yeater said she became pregnant when she had sex with Bieber after a concert in Los Angeles last year.

Bieber's publicist told Us Weekly the woman's allegations are untrue.

"While we haven't yet seen the lawsuit, it's sad that someone would fabricate malicious, defamatory and demonstrably false claims. We will vigorously pursue all available legal remedies to defend and protect Justin against these allegations," Bieber's representative said in a statement.
