LOS ANGELES, Oct. 10 (UPI) -- U.S. recording star Jennifer Hudson says she dropped out of the weekend's Michael Jackson tribute concert in Wales because of "major production issues."

The "Michael Forever" show at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium Saturday night featured live performances by Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis, Smokey Robinson, Gladys Knight and Cee-Lo Green, as well as a video appearance by pregnant pop singer Beyonce.

Hudson was also scheduled to take the stage, but canceled at the last minute, announcing the change in plans via Twitter Saturday afternoon, The Hollywood Reporter said.

"To my UK fans that were coming to the MJ show in Wales: I will no longer be attending due to major production issues," Hudson said. "I would have thought they [the show's producers] would have informed you all by now, so since they did not, I am. Thank u for your support."

She did not specify what the production issues were.
