NEW YORK, Oct. 5 (UPI) -- Canadian-born pop star Justin Bieber is to release his first Christmas album next month, the Island Def Jam Music Group said Wednesday.

"Under the Mistletoe," a mix of traditional Christmas standards and new holiday music largely co-written by Bieber, is to go on sale Nov. 1.

"Mistletoe," the first single off the CD, will be released worldwide Oct. 18. The accompanying video was shot last week in Franklin, Tenn., by Roman White, who also directed Bieber's "One Less Lonely Girl" video, the record label said.

Bieber, 17, has accumulated more than 13 million Twitter followers, 36 million Facebook friends and 2.2 billion combined views on YouTube and VEVO in two years, Island Def Jam said.
