Pitbull seeks to bury hatchet with Lohan

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 27 (UPI) -- Rap Artist Pitbull issued a public invitation to Lindsay Lohan to join him at the MTV Video Music Awards gala in Los Angeles.

The overture posted on Pitbull's Web site is a bit unusual given the lawsuit Lohan filed against him over the lyrics of his hit song "Give Me Everything."

"Hopefully, she can come with me to the VMAs, and we can figure this out," Pitbull wrote.

MTV.com said Pitbull, who will be performing at Sunday's awards, insisted his invite was sincere and that he doesn't do publicity stunts.

Lohan and her camp recently took issue with Pitbull's line "Got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan," but Pitbull insisted the lyric was actually complimentary. "If you listen to it from beginning to end, (is a) very positive record," he said.
