Gaga, Bieber win MuchMusic Awards

TORONTO, June 20 (UPI) -- U.S. pop star Lady Gaga performed two songs and won the prize for International Video of the Year at the 2011 MuchMusic Awards in Toronto.

The singer took the trophy for her "Judas" clip in the awards ceremony Sunday night. She also won the fan-voted UR Fave International Video Award for "Born This Way."

Fefe Dobson won the UR Fave Video for the song "Stuttering" and the team of Justin Bieber and Usher was named UR Fave New Artist for their collaboration on "Somebody to Love."

Taio Cruz's "Dynamite" won the honor for MuchMusic.com's Most Streamed Video and Shawn Desman's "Electric/Night Like This" was named Video of the Year.

The International Video of the Year by a Group statuette went to Far East Movement featuring The Cataracs & Dev for "Like a G6."

Down with Webster's "Whoa is Me" earned the Pop Video of the Year award, the MuchLOUD Rock Video of the Year title was presented to Abandon All Ships for "Geeving" and the MuchVIBE Hip-Hop Video of the Year went to Classified's "That Ain't Classy."

Selena Gomez served as host of the show and performed "Who Says." Her boyfriend Bieber and his friend Drake shared the International Video of the Year By a Canadian Award for their respective songs "Somebody to Love" and "Find Your Love."

"What a party! Tonight's show will surely go down in music history as an amazing spectacle of celebrities, surprises, and performances," Sheila Sullivan, the awards show's executive producer, said in a statement Sunday. "From Selena and Lady Gaga to Simple Plan, Fefe, and Bieber, our home-grown superstars helped make the magic happen. We're thrilled with how the MMVAs once again put our fans front and center."
