MINNEAPOLIS, June 1 (UPI) -- British pop vocalist Adele was forced to postpone five dates on her North American tour because of laryngitis, her Web site said.
She was diagnosed Thursday in Minneapolis and forced to reschedule her performance in that city, as well as cancel appearances in Salt Lake City, Vancouver, British Columbia, Seattle and Portland, Ore.
The Web site said her tour was expected to resume Saturday in San Francisco.
Adele's album, "21," was No. 3 on Billboard album chart, after spending nine non-consecutive weeks at No.1.
