Eubanks set for 'Tonight' return

BURBANK, Calif., Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Guitarist Kevin Eubanks has been booked to perform on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," the U.S. series for which he worked as bandleader and music director.

Eubanks left the chat show in May after 18 years.

He is to return for a special performance Tuesday, the day his new CD, "Zen Food," is released on Mack Avenue Records.

Joining him on his new album and return to the show are "Tonight Show Band" alums drummer Marvin "Smitty" Smith and keyboardist Gerry Etkins, NBC said Wednesday.
