LOS ANGELES, Oct. 14 (UPI) -- Celine Dion's husband has dismissed as false reports that the singer is scheduled to have a C-section this month to deliver her twin boys in Florida.

The Palm Beach (Fla.) Post reported this week that Dion, 42, had handpicked the nurses who would attend her after the Oct. 22 operation. The newspaper also cited unnamed sources as saying the singer had reserved several hospital rooms for her family, staff and security.

But Dion's husband Rene Angelil told People.com the story isn't true.

"There is nothing scheduled. We do not have a date," Angelil said.

"They want Celine's pregnancy to go as long as possible, at least until the first week of November," Dion's publicist added. "She would never intentionally endanger her unborn children by scheduling a birth early like this. ... It's all false. Celine and her doctors are hopeful that she can continue her pregnancy as long as possible, and hope to get her to at least 37 weeks gestation to ensure the healthiest outcome for her children."
