Pianist plays with feet, wins 'Talent'

BEIJING, Oct. 11 (UPI) -- Liu Wei, who plays the piano with his toes after losing his arms in an accident, has won the "China's Got Talent" competition.

The 23-year-old musician from Beijing won the TV talent contest after performing James Blunt's "You're Beautiful," the BBC reported Monday.

"At least I have a pair of perfect legs," he told the judges upon learning he won.

His arms were amputated after he suffered an electric shock while playing hide-and-seek when he was 10. He taught himself how to play piano when he was 18.

For winning "Talent," Wei has been invited to perform with Taiwanese pop star Jolin Tsai and will appear on a Las Vegas stage for three months with a possible recording contract down the road, the British broadcaster said.
