LONDON, Sept. 19 (UPI) -- Texas model Jerry Hall, the ex-wife of rock star Sir Mick Jagger, said she is shocked by a painting depicting a man breastfeeding her son Gabriel.

Hall said artist Lucian Freud painted over her face in a picture of her breastfeeding Gabriel, the youngest of four children she had with the British rock star and founding member of the Rolling Stones, London's Daily Telegraph reported Sunday.

The artist allegedly painted the face of his male assistant over Hall's face in a portrait on display at the Dallas Museum of Art, the report said. Gabriel was born in 1997.

Hall said she was unable to complete her sittings for the portrait because she became ill, and said Freud, 87, replaced her features in the painting with those of his assistant, David Dawson.

"I was really upset about that," said Hall. "It is now hanging in the Dallas Museum. I went there and saw it. It was very upsetting. Gabriel looks beautiful, and you can kind of see me underneath. I am still there."

Hall, 54, said the artist further angered her when he told her she could purchase the painting if she didn't want it displayed.

"Lucian said I could buy it and take off the top layer," Hall said.

A man who collected Freud's work for more than 50 years reportedly said of his subjects: "I'm not sure how much he loves women -- for horses and dogs he shows affection; his portraits of the ladies are misogynous."

Hall was reportedly selling another of Freud's portraits of her at Sotheby's next month. It is a nude painting of her pregnant with Gabriel, the newspaper said.

"I want to downsize. I want to get a place in the country," Hall said.
