Bieber tabs Chu to direct biopic

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 14 (UPI) -- Canadian pop music star Justin Bieber says he's picked Jon Chu to direct the teenager's upcoming biopic.

Bieber, who launched his career with the help of YouTube, also is a big Twitter user, Parade magazine said. Bieber has more than 4.4 million followers on the micro-blogging site.

The singer teased into the announcement using Twitter, the reporter said.

Bieber tweeted, "This TOUR is INCREDIBLE!! Only problem is this guy keeps following me show to show. @jonmchu why r u following me dude?"

Chu responded with his own tweet, Parade reported, saying, "Yo @justinbieber. ...You think we should give them the big news?"
