CORTONA, Italy, Aug. 6 (UPI) -- British rock star Sting and his wife Trudie Styler starred in a staging of an experimental work known as "Twin Spirits" in the Italian town of Cortona Thursday.

Inspired by the romance of German composer Robert Schumann and his pianist wife Clara Wieck, the ensemble performance featured both sung lyrics and experimental music, as well as readings of the lovers' letters, ANSA said.
