Olympia Dukakis cast in Williams play

NEW YORK, May 11 (UPI) -- Olympia Dukakis and Cherry Jones have signed up to star in productions for New York's Roundabout Theatre Company for the 2010-11 theater season.

Jones will lead the cast in a staging of George Bernard Shaw's comedy "Mrs. Warren's Profession," which will be directed by Doug Hughes, it was announced Tuesday. Previews are to begin Sept. 3 at Manhattan's American Airlines Theatre.

Dukakis is also to headline a Roundabout production of Tennessee Williams' "The Milk Train Doesn't Stop Here Anymore," directed by Michael Wilson. Previews are to begin Jan. 7, 2011 at Laura Pels Theatre.

The Roundabout's 2010-11 lineup will also include previously announced productions of Oscar Wilde's "The Importance of Being Earnest," directed by and starring Brian Bedford; Julia Cho's "The Language Archive," directed by Mark Brokaw; and Kimberly Rosenstock's "Tigers Be Still," directed by Sam Gold.
