LOS ANGELES, April 21 (UPI) -- The 18-year-old son of entertainer Marie Osmond had no drugs in his system when he committed suicide, the Los Angeles coroner's office said Wednesday.

Michael Bryan, a fashion-school student, died Feb. 26 after leaping from the balcony of his eighth-floor apartment.

People.com quoted the coroner's office as saying in a report it released Wednesday Bryan left a note that "outlined his unhappiness with his life and his intent to kill himself."

The report also said Bryan had been depressed because of "bad school grades and a visit from a former girlfriend," People.com said.

Bryan was one of Osmond's eight children.
