NEW YORK, Dec. 12 (UPI) -- Singer Mariah Carey said she will begin her North American tour in support of her album "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" in Atlantic City, N.J.
Rolling Stone magazine reported online Saturday the 39-year-old singer confirmed her Angels Advocate Tour will start Jan. 2 at the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa in Atlantic City.
Prior to the start of the eight-week, 19-city tour, Carey will perform at a New Year's Eve celebration at New York's Madison Square Garden.
Once the tour is officially under way, stops will include two shows in Mashantucket, Conn., three Canadian shows and a Feb. 27 final concert at the Pearl Concert Theater in Las Vegas.
Other stops include Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Phoenix and Washington.
Members of the official Mariah Carey Fan Club, Honey B. Fly, can pre-order tickets to the shows. Other Carey fans will have access to tickets starting Dec. 19.
