"My obsession with music and fashion goes hand in hand, and a clothing line exemplifying the aura and artwork of the brilliant John Lennon is something I've wanted to do for a long time," Wicks said in a statement. "Both as a lifelong fan and a designer, I have great respect for his music, art, style and his message."

"(The collection is) for both the Lennon fan and the fashion guru," Rock & Roll Religion said in its news release. "Colors, silhouettes and collar shapes are based on (Lennon's) own wardrobe from the 60s and 70s, with detailing derived from his artwork. Elements of Lennon's drawings are incorporated in packaging, hang tags, neck labels, accents on a sleeve, inside a jacket or pronounced on a T-shirt. His 'Give Peace a Chance' theme is a prominent message and design throughout the collection."
