LOS ANGELES, Oct. 15 (UPI) -- The creator of "Glee" says a stage tour based on the U.S. music-themed television series is in the works.
The Fox show is about the lovable misfit members of a fictional high school glee club in Ohio. Each episode features the vocal group singing new versions of pop hits, many of which have become recent hot sellers in real life on iTunes.

TVGuide.com quoted executive producer Ryan Murphy as saying the show is expected to hit the road next summer after the Season 1 finale.
"We're going to do what 'American Idol' has done and put the kids on the road," Murphy told the New York Post. "It all equals revenue streams for Fox."
