NEW YORK, Oct. 7 (UPI) -- U.S. singer-songwriter John Fogerty is to be featured on PBS's "Live By Request" series next month, the network announced Wednesday.

"For more than four decades, Grammy-winning rock legend John Fogerty has written and performed some of the most recognizable songs of the 20th Century," the network said in a news release. "From 'Proud Mary' and 'Centerfield' to 'Suzie Q' and 'Fortunate Son,' John Fogerty's story-filled country-blues melodies and distinctive gravel-filled vocals are pure Americana."
