'Jurassic World: Dominion' tops North American box office with $143.4M

June 12 (UPI) -- Dinosaur adventure, Jurassic World: Dominion, is the No. 1 movie in North America, earning $143.4 million in receipts this weekend, BoxOfficeMojo.com announced Sunday.

Coming in at No. 2 is Top Gun: Maverick with $50 million, followed by Doctor Strange in the Mutiverse of Madness at No. 3 with $4.9 million, The Bob's Burgers Movie at No. 4 with $2.3 million and The Bad Guys at No. 5 with $2.2 million.

Rounding out the top tier are Downton Abbey: A New Era at No. 6 with $1.7 million, Everything Everywhere All At Once at No. 7 with $1.3 million, Firestarter is No. 8 with $820,000, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is No. 9 with $710,000 and Ante Sundharaniki is No. 10 with $620,000.

Last weekend's Top 10 movies earned about $118.4 million at the box office, with Top Gun: Maverick in the No. 1 spot for its second weekend with $86 million. This weekend's Top 10 scored about $208 million.
