May 20 (UPI) -- Disney+ is sharing new details about Zombies 3. The streaming service announced a premiere date, July 15, for the new Zombies sequel in a press release Friday.
Zombies 3 will introduce a new group of mysterious space aliens to the zombies, cheerleaders, werewolves and other students of Seabrook High.
RuPaul's Drag Race host RuPaul will join the cast as the voice of The Mothership, a comedically passive-aggressive UFO that brings the aliens to earth.
Milo Manheim and Meg Donnelly will return as zombie Zed and cheerleader Addison, who are beginning their senior year at Seabrook.
"Zed is anticipating an athletic scholarship that will make him the first zombie to attend college, while Addison is gearing up for Seabrook's first international cheer-off. Then suddenly, extraterrestrial beings arrive in Seabrook, provoking something other than friendly competition," an official description reads.
Chandler Kinney, Ariel Martin, Pearce Joza, Carla Jeffery, Trevor Tordjman, Kylee Russell, Terry Hu, Matt Cornett, Kyra Tantao, James Godfrey and Kingston Foster also star.
The film will feature eight new songs, including "Alien Invasion," a third rendition of "Someday," and "Come On Out." The soundtrack will also be released July 15.
Zombies 3 is written by David Light and Joseph Raso and directed by Paul Hoen, who directed the first two movies.
Zombies premiered on the Disney Channel in 2018 and was followed by Zombies 2 in 2020.
