"Call operator Joe Bayler tries to save a caller in grave danger -- but he soon discovers that nothing is as it seems, and facing the truth is the only way out," an official description reads.

Netflix previously shared a teaser and poster for the film that asks viewers to "listen carefully."

The Guilty is directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, The Equalizer). The film co-stars Ethan Hawke, Riley Keough, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Paul Dano and Peter Sarsgaard.

The Guilty will have its world premiere Sept. 11 at the Toronto International Film Festival. The film will open in select theaters Sept. 24 before its release Oct. 1 on Netflix.
