Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who penned Deadpool and Zombieland, wrote the screenplay for Ghosted, The Hollywood Reporter said.

No details about the plot have been publicly disclosed.

After Avengers: Endgame, Evans starred in the popular mystery-comedy, Knives Out, and the Apple TV+ miniseries, Defending Jacob.

Johansson's Black Widow was a recent box-office, streaming and critical hit.

The Oscar-winning actress is suing Marvel parent company Disney for a portion of the online proceeds, arguing she earned less money than expected for her work on the film because the studio released it theatrically and digitally at the same time as a strategy during to offer it to as many viewers as possible during the coronavirus pandemic.

Johansson also recently married and welcomed her first child with Colin Jost.
