'The Harder They Fall' teaser: Jonathan Majors, Idris Elba face off in new Western

June 24 (UPI) -- Netflix is giving a glimpse of the new film The Harder They Fall.

The streaming service shared a teaser trailer for the Western film Thursday featuring Jonathan Majors as Nat Love, an outlaw based on the real-life cowboy and former slave.

The preview shows Nat (Majors) face off with Rufus Buck (Idris Elba), the outlaw who killed his parents. Nat is joined by Stagecoach Mary (Zazie Beets), Bill Pickett (Edi Gathegi) and Jim Beckwourth (R.J. Cyler), while Rufus' gang includes "Treacherous" Trudy Smith (Regina King) and Cherokee Bill (LaKeith Stanfield).

"When outlaw Nat Love (Majors) discovers that his enemy Rufus Buck (Elba) is being released from prison he rounds up his gang to track Rufus down and seek revenge," an official description reads.

Netflix also shared first-look photos for the film.

The Harder They Fall is directed by Jeymes Samuel, who co-wrote the script with Boaz Yakin. The film will premiere on Netflix in the fall.

Majors is known for playing Atticus Freeman on Lovecraft Country, while Elba portrays John Luther on Luther and Heimdall in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
