June 21 (UPI) -- Shazam! Fury of the Gods director David F. Sandberg is giving a glimpse of the film's new costumes.
Sandberg, who directed the 2019 film Shazam! and will return to direct the sequel, shared a photo Monday of Zachary Levi and the cast in costume.
The picture shows Levi, Adam Brody, Meagan Good, Ross Butler, Grace Fulton and D.J. Cortona as the superhero versions of teenager Billy Batson (Asher Angel) and his five foster siblings, Freddy Freeman (Jack Dylan Grazer), Darla Dudley (Faithe Herman), Eugene Choi (Ian Chen), Mary Bromfield (Fulton) and Pedro Peña (Jovan Armand).
"Don't know how long we can keep the new suits from leaking so here's a pic I took the other day," Sandberg captioned the post.
Sandberg confirmed Fulton will play both versions of Mary in the sequel. Michelle Broth portrayed the adult version of Mary in the original film.
"Yes, Grace now plays both parts. But her hair and makeup is slightly different when she's super so nobody will ever recognize her. Hey, it works for Wonder Woman!" Sandberg tweeted.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods will co-star Helen Mirren as the villain Hespera, a daughter of Atlas. Lucy Liu and Rachel Zegler also play daughters of Atlas.
Shazam! and its sequel are based on the DC Comics character Shazam. The character is the alter ego of Billy Batson, a boy who can transform into an adult superhero by saying the word "shazam."
Shazam! Fury of the Gods will open in theaters in June 2023.
