Sofia Boutella, Jonny Lee Miller protect Brooklynn Prince in 'Settlers'

June 17 (UPI) -- IFC Midnight released the trailer for the upcoming science fiction movie Settlers on Thursday. Sofia Boutella, Jonny Lee Miller, Ismael Cruz Cordova and Brooklynn Prince star in the movie, in theaters and video-on-demand July 23.

Boutella and Miller play parents to Remmy (Prince) on Mars. The family is struggling to cultivate their homestead, but they do live on Mars without helmets, so the air has become breathable.

A stranger (Cordova) arrives telling the family they don't belong there. He intends to stay.

Wyatt Rockefeller wrote and directed Settlers, his feature film debut after producing several shorts, two of which he wrote and directed. Rockefeller filmed Settlers on location in Vioolsdrif, South Africa.

The Mummy and Star Trek Beyond star Boutella also stars in the upcoming Prisoners of the Ghostland which premiered at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival. Elementary and Trainspotting star Miller also has the afterlife drama Nine Days coming out this year.

Cordova is in the upcoming Amazon Lord of the Rings series. He recently appeared in The Undoing, Berlin Station and an episode of The Mandalorian.

Brooklyn made her movie debut in The Florida Project and currently stars on the Apple TV+ series Home Before Dark.
