June 17 (UPI) -- NEON released the trailer for the movie Pig Thursday. Nicolas Cage stars in the film, opening July 16.

Cage plays Rob, a truffle hunter who uses a pig to help find the rare ingredient in the forests of Oregon. When someone kidnaps his pig, Rob returns to the city to question suspects.

The trailer touts Cage's Academy Award win for 1995's Leaving Las Vegas. Cage sports a bushy beard and long hair as a solitary woodsman in the film.

The trailer reveals that Rob was once a chef. He laments to his friend (Alex Wolff) that he remembers every meal he cooked, but the diner never saw him preparing their meal in the kitchen.

Adam Arkin also stars. In the trailer he tries to discourage Rob, telling him to "Get a new pig."

Michael Sarnoski co-wrote Pig with Vanessa Block. Sarnoski directs.

Cage also produced Pig along with producers Steve Tisch, Dori Rath, Joseph Restaino, David Carrico, Adam Paulsen, Dimitra Tsingou, Thomas Benski, Ben Giladi and Block.
