June 8 (UPI) -- Disney released the trailer for the upcoming animated film Ron's Gone Wrong Tuesday. The Locksmith Animation and 20th Century Studios film will be out Oct. 22.

The trailer introduces the B-Bot, a personal robot companion in the style of a sentient iPhone. Barney (voice of Jack Dylan Grazer) gets a defective B-Bot, Ron (voice of Zach Galifianakis).

Ron's malfunctions cause hassles for Barney. Ron keeps calling Barney "Registered Name" when he's supposed to learn Barney's name, and he strangles a chicken in the kitchen.

Other voices include Olivia Colman, Ed Helms, Justice Smith, Rob Delaney, Kylie Cantrall, Ricardo Hurtado, Marcus Scribner, and Thomas Barbusca. Co-director Jean-Philippe Vine was a story artist on Pixar's The Good Dinosaur and Inside Out and directed episodes of Shaun the Sheep.

Vine joins Locksmith co-founder Sarah Smith. Smith co-wrote and co-directed Arthur Christmas and co-executive produced The Pirates! Band of Misfits.

The third co-director is Octavio Rodriguez. His animation credits include the story departments of SpongeBob Squarepants, CatDog, Monsters University, Coco and Incredibles 2. Rodriguez directed episodes of the Captain Underpants TV series.
