Tom Felton to star in 'Monster Hunting' movie for Netflix

Sept. 5 (UPI) -- Harry Potter alum Tom Felton is to star in the Netflix family film A Babysitter's Guide to Monster Hunting.

Joe Ballarini penned the screenplay for the movie, which is based on his book series "about a secret society of fierce babysitters who protect children from a world of monsters," the streaming service said.

Ghostbusters director Ivan Reitman is producing the project, which will also feature Tamara Smart (Artemis Fowl,) Oona Laurence (Lost Girls,) Alessio Scalzotto (Rim of the World), Ian Ho (A Simple Favor) and Indya Moore (Pose.)

Director Rachel Talalay -- whose credits include Dr. Who and Sherlock -- is shooting the film in Vancouver.
