Timothee Chalamet joins cast of Wes Anderson's 'French Dispatch'

Dec. 7 (UPI) -- Call Me By Your Name actor Timothee Chalamet has landed a role in writer-director Wes Anderson's upcoming film The French Dispatch.

Variety said Chalamet will star alongside Benicio del Toro and Jeffrey Wright, as well as Anderson movie regulars Bill Murray, Frances McDormand and Tilda Swinton.

Set in the 1950s, the story follows journalists at an American newspaper bureau in Paris.

Filming is already underway in France, IndieWire said.

Chalamet was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe Thursday for his work in the addiction drama Beautiful Boy. Anderson's adventure Isle of Dogs is up for Best Animated Movie.
