Farmiga, Bichir arrive at creepy Romanian convent in 'Nun' trailer

June 14 (UPI) -- The first, 90-second trailer for The Nun has gotten more than 2.5 million views since Warner Bros. Pictures released it on YouTube Wednesday.

Set for theatrical release Sept. 7, the supernatural horror movie is the latest installment in The Conjuring universe, which also includes two Annabelle blockbusters.

Corin Hardy directed the film, which is about a priest with a haunted past and a novitiate about to take her final vows who are sent by the Vatican to investigate the apparent suicide of a young nun at a cloistered abbey in Romania, a synopsis said.

The origin story of the demonic nun introduced in The Conjuring 2 stars Demian Bichir, Taissa Farmiga, Jonas Bloquet, Charlotte Hope, Ingrid Bisu and Bonnie Aarons.
