May 31 (UPI) -- Robert Pattinson and Lily-Rose Depp have joined the cast of the Netflix film The King. The 32-year-old actor and 19-year-old actress will star with Timothée Chalamet and Joel Edgerton in the new movie, according to a press release.

The King is inspired by the William Shakespeare plays Henry IV and Henry V. David Michôd, who directed Pattinson in The Rover, co-wrote the film with Edgerton and will serve as director.
Chalamet and Edgerton will play Hal and Falstaff, respectively. Pattinson will portray The Dauphin, with Depp as Princess Catherine.
Sean Harris, Ben Mendelsohn, Tom Glynn-Carney and Thomasin Harcourt McKenzie are also joining the cast as William, King Henry IV, Hotspur and Philippa. Filming will begin June 1 in the U.K., with the movie set for release in 2019.
Pattinson is known for the Twilight films and will next star in the movie Damsel. Depp, the daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis, has previously appeared in the films Tusk and Yoga Hosers.
