'Deadpool 2' tops the North American box office with $125 million

May 20 (UPI) -- Ryan Reynolds' R-rated, action-adventure flick Deadpool 2 is the No. 1 movie in North America, having earned $125 million in receipts this weekend, BoxOfficeMojo.com announced Sunday.

Coming in at No. 2 with $28.7 million is Avengers: Infinity War, followed by Book Club at No. 3 with $12.5 million, Life of the Party at No. 4 with $7.7 million and Breaking In at No. 5 with $6.5 million.

Rounding out the top tier are Show Dogs at No. 6 with $6 million, Overboard at No. 7 with $4.7 million, A Quiet Place at No. 8 with $4 million, Rampage at No. 9 with $1.5 million and RBG at No. 10 with $1.3 million.
