"Left with little but a sharp ax to grind, the ladies take the Irish mafia's matters into their own hands -- proving unexpectedly adept at everything from running the rackets to taking out the competition... literally," a synopsis said.

Andrea Berloff wrote and will direct the comic-book adaptation, which is set for release on Sept. 20, 2019.

"The talent we're putting together for #TheKitchen is exceptional. So happy to have @common & @jamesbadgedale & @myk_watford & @jeremybobb join in the fun. Welcome fellas!" Berloff wrote in an Instagram post last month.
