May 10 (UPI) -- Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool visits David Beckham and apologizes to the former soccer star for making fun of his voice in the original Deadpool film.

The clip, posted by Reynolds on Twitter Thursday to promote Deadpool 2, begins with Beckham watching over and over the scene from the first film which features Deadpool stating, "Looks are everything. You ever heard David Beckham speak? It's like he mouth-sexed a can of helium."

Deadpool then knocks on the door and offers Beckham a number of presents to apologize including balloons and tickets to a soccer game.

"I can't stay mad at you," Beckham says before the pair share an uncomfortable hug. Beckham also gets revenge when he makes fun of Reynolds for starring in films such as R.I.P.D. and Green Lantern.

"Little known fact: Canadians are born with a black belt in apology," Reynolds captioned the video.

Deadpool 2 is set to arrive in theaters on May 18. Reynolds recently teamed up Celine Dion in the music video for "Ashes," the singer's latest song that appears on the soundtrack for Deadpool 2.
